From a Single Candle to a Modern Dark Empire

Our Story Begins in 2019
What started as a quiet act of self-care became the foundation of everything that followed.
In 2019, I began hand-pouring candles to relieve stress while juggling full-time studies and raising three kids. That winter, I gifted them to friends, family, and coworkers—and the response was overwhelming. By the following year, when a “fake business” project came up in my degree program, I chose to build a candle company. I aced the final and gained something even better: clarity.
During the pandemic, I turned my coat-closet hobby into a registered LLC, working long nights by candlelight while the world stood still. When restrictions lifted, I took one dozen candles and a folding table to my first farmers market—and sold out completely. Within a year, I had quadrupled sales and expanded into larger markets, events, and local stores.
Rooted in Texas, Growing Everywhere
By 2024, our family returned home to Texas, where the business found its true rhythm. From our base in San Antonio, we now proudly operate inside:

Our journey began as Fox & Wolf Scents, named for the dual forces that define us:

🐺 The Wolf — loyal, social, and strong in the pack — embodies my husband, a military veteran who thrives in teamwork and leadership.
As the brand grew beyond candles, our identity evolved into something more refined—an intersection of scent, art, and atmosphere.
Thus, Romilow was born: a fusion of our family names.
Romilow stands for legacy, partnership, and transformation—the light born from the dark.
